21 Life Hacks

📌 Little habits, The Law of Pain and a Book that changed my Life.

Welcome aboard if you're new! This is where I share top insights each week to help you grow, think sharper, and improve-one step at a time.

This Week’s Snapshot:

  • Insight: The life you want is already within reach. You don’t need permission, just action.

  • Power Move: Saying "no" more often isn’t about being difficult-it’s about protecting what truly matters.

  • Quote: “The difference between successful people and really successful people is that really successful people say no to almost everything.” - Warren Buffett

  • Deep Dive: Why systems outperform motivation, and how falling in love with the process creates unstoppable momentum.

  • Something to Make You Smile: Toilet paper (Scroll to the bottom, and you’ll get it.)

1. The life you want is already possible-you just have to start.

The biggest lie we tell ourselves is that we need to "wait until we’re ready."

You’re already ready.

The best time to start was yesterday. The second-best time is today.

2. Your to-do list will never be empty. Stop waiting.

A doctor once said, “The waiting room is always full.”

That’s life. There will always be another task, another project, another responsibility.

If you wait until everything is “done” before you start enjoying life, you never will.

Learn to find joy in the process, not just the outcome.

3. No one has it all figured out.

Even the most successful people you admire? They’re still figuring things out.

The difference is, they don’t let uncertainty stop them.

They take action, adjust along the way, and trust that clarity comes through movement.

If you’re waiting until you "have it all figured out," you’ll be waiting forever.

4. Say "no" more often.

Every time you say "yes" to something, you’re saying "no" to something else.

If you say yes to things that drain you, you’re robbing yourself of time for what truly matters.

Protect your time.

5. Discipline will take you further than motivation ever will.

Motivation is unreliable. Some days, it’s there. Some days, it’s not.

Discipline is showing up no matter what. And discipline creates results.

Build discipline, and you’ll never have to rely on motivation again.

6. Mastery comes from repetition, not talent.

Most people think elite performers are just naturally gifted.

They’re not. They’ve just done the same thing thousands of times.

Skill isn’t given. It’s built.

7. The more action you take, the luckier you get.

Luck isn’t just random. It’s a function of motion.

The more things you try, the more people you meet, the more places you go-the more chances you have to get lucky.

Create opportunities, and luck will follow.

8. Confidence comes from keeping promises to yourself.

Confidence doesn’t come from external validation.

It comes from knowing you can trust yourself to do what you say you’ll do.

Every time you follow through, you reinforce that trust. And with trust comes confidence.

9. The best way to grow? Do things that scare you.

The best things in life happen right outside your comfort zone.

That business idea? That move to a new city? That opportunity that feels too big?

Fear is a signal that something is worth doing. Lean into it, and you’ll grow in ways you never imagined.

10. You’re living in the “good old days” right now.

One day, you’ll look back at this time in your life and miss it.

Your current reality-your job, your routine, the people around you-is something you’ll wish you could relive.

Don’t wait to appreciate it.

11. Stop chasing perfect decisions-just make better ones.

There’s no such thing as a perfect decision. But you can always make a better one.

Overanalyzing keeps you stuck. Action moves you forward.

Choose. Adjust. Repeat.

12. Focus on direction, not the destination.

Christopher Columbus didn’t know exactly where he’d land. But he knew he needed to go west.

In life, you’ll never have a perfect map. But you don’t need one-just a general direction.

Start moving, and the path will reveal itself.

13. The people around you shape your success more than your plans.

A strong plan matters. But the people you surround yourself with matter even more.

You can’t predict every twist and turn in life, but you can choose who takes the journey with you.

Surround yourself with ambitious, positive, and growth-minded people, and your life will naturally elevate.

14. Expand your energy, don’t just manage it.

Energy isn’t like a gas tank-it doesn’t just drain as you use it.

Some activities drain you. Others refuel you.

If you spend more time doing things that light you up, you’ll have far more energy than you think.

15. Fall in Love with Systems

Goals set the direction, but systems create the results.

A goal is a target-a moment in time. A system is the process that keeps you moving long after motivation fades.

Anyone can set a goal. The ones who succeed are the ones who build a repeatable process that makes progress inevitable.

Focus less on what you want and more on how you’ll get there-because a great system always outperforms a great goal.

❝

"Everything you want is on the other side of fear."

Jack Canfield

16. Trust first, unless proven otherwise.

People who expect good things tend to find them.

If you assume everything is a scam or that people are out to get you, you’ll miss out on real opportunities.

Be smart, but don’t let cynicism close doors that could change your life.

17. The key to success? Stacking small wins.

Most people try to go from zero to 100 overnight.

That never works.

Instead, stack tiny wins. One good habit leads to another. One success builds momentum for the next.

Small wins lead to massive transformations.

18. Live by design, not by default.

Most people drift through life reacting to whatever comes their way.

But real fulfillment comes from intentional choices.

Design your life around what matters most-your values, your goals, your purpose.

If you don’t create your own path, someone else will decide it for you.

19. Let Go of Your Ego

When confronted with information that contradicts their beliefs, people tend to double down instead of reconsidering.

This is known as the Entrenchment Effect-it happens because the ego craves validation over truth.

But real growth isn’t about defending a position. It’s about being willing to challenge your own thinking.

Don’t argue just to be right. Seek to understand, adapt, and uncover the truth.

20. Time is your most valuable currency.

You can always make more money. You can never make more time.

Treat your time like a billionaire treats their investments.

Spend it wisely.

21. Preparation outperforms planning in the real world.

Planning assumes things will go smoothly. Preparation knows they won’t.

A plan is rigid-it works when conditions are perfect. But preparation? It makes you adaptable when things go sideways.

Instead of obsessing over a flawless plan, focus on building skills, mindset, and resilience. When chaos arrives (and it will), preparation will keep you standing while others scramble.

The Law of Pain

A question that changed my perspective:

What if the hardest moments in life weren’t just obstacles-but opportunities for transformation?

The Pain-Growth Connection

Nobody enjoys pain while they’re in it. The setbacks, failures, disappointments, and unexpected losses-when they hit, they hit hard.

But pain does something powerful. It introduces you to yourself.

How you respond in those moments determines whether it becomes a defining war story or just another wound.

The Growth Mindset Shift

Pain can either break you or build you, and the difference comes down to one thing: How you manage it.

Here’s how to turn pain into progress:

  1. Shift Your Perspective: Life isn’t about what’s fair-it’s about how you respond. Bad things happen. Decide in advance that you’ll use them as fuel, not excuses.

  2. Look for the Hidden Opportunity: Every challenge carries a lesson or an opening. Creativity thrives in adversity-find the door that just opened.

  3. Extract the Lesson: You never stub your toe standing still. Growth comes from movement, and setbacks are proof that you're pushing forward.

  4. Adapt and Evolve: A bend in the road isn’t the end-unless you refuse to turn. Let challenges refine your approach, not define your limits.

  5. Own Your Story: Blame gives away your power. Taking responsibility-not for what happens to you, but for how you react-is what turns pain into wisdom.

Because pain isn’t just something to survive.

It’s something to grow through.

This Book Changed my Life

Question for you:

What's the most insightful, concise career guide you've stumbled upon lately?

My pick: "Career Advice for Uniquely Ambitious People" by Eric Jorgenson.

This book is a hidden gem for anyone feeling a bit… different when it comes to career paths. It’s a straight-shooting guide packed with unconventional wisdom for navigating the modern world of work. (Check its cover below👇)

Just finished reading it, and here are a few of the ideas that resonated most:

  • Value Creation Above All: Forget climbing the corporate ladder. Solve real problems, create value for others, and the opportunities will find you. It’s all about the impact you make.

  • Design Your Own Game: If you're uniquely ambitious, you need a uniquely ambitious strategy. Ditch the pre-defined paths and create your own game with your own rules. It's time to think outside the box.

  • Cultivate a Personal Monopoly: In a world of commodities, be a differentiator. Develop skills that are rare and valuable. As Eric says, "Mastery is the game, and learning is how you score."

  • Invest in Relationships, Not Networking: Stop collecting business cards and start building genuine connections. Surround yourself with people who inspire you, challenge you, and support your growth.

  • Embrace Experimentation: Your career is an ongoing journey, not a destination. Be willing to try new things, take calculated risks, and iterate along the way.

If you're ready to challenge the status quo and create a career that's as unique as you are, "Career Advice for Uniquely Ambitious People" is a game-changer. It's a fast read, but the ideas will stick with you for a long time.

The Power of Saying “I Don’t Know”

Stumbled upon this thread on Reddit and found myself nodding the entire time.

In a world where people scramble to sound certain, there’s something rare about a person who can simply say, “I don’t know, but I’ll find out.”

A few takeaways from the thread that stood out:

  • Admitting what you don’t know builds trust. Whether in a classroom, a boardroom, or a casual conversation, people respect honesty more than a confident-sounding guess.

  • Great teachers don’t just give answers-they teach people how to find them. A history teacher who shut down a student for bringing research was not a great teacher. The one who encouraged curiosity, looked things up, and corrected mistakes? That’s leadership.

  • Ego is the enemy of growth. Some people would rather be right than get it right. But the most intelligent, successful people stay open to learning, even if it means admitting they were wrong.

One comment summed it up perfectly:

❝

"It’s exhausting talking to people who have their mind made up before the question is even asked."

There’s real power in embracing curiosity over certainty. The best leaders, teachers, and thinkers understand this:

Not knowing isn’t a weakness. Refusing to learn is.

😂Time to Laugh

The Lesson?

Design Your Life with Intention

At the end of the day, life isn’t about waiting for the perfect moment.

It’s about shaping it.

The shift to:
- Stop chasing certainty and start embracing the process.
- Build systems that support who you want to become.
- Make small, deliberate choices that lead to a life that excites you.

Because:
Your days aren’t just something to get through.

They’re the building blocks of your future.

Don’t wait for permission.

Don’t wait for the “right time.”

Live with purpose. Grow through challenges. Find joy in the process.

This isn’t just about success.

It’s about creating a life that feels as good as it looks.
